A trained doctor (MBBS MD Pathology) with an MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB), Dr. Anu Gupta brings a unique outlook through her 17+ years’ experience in global pharmaceutical industry and Indian hospitals. 

Having served in clinics from remote areas to state-of-the-art hospitals, Dr Anu gained perspective as a young physician on the challenges of the healthcare ecosystem. With the intent of creating a bigger impact on patients, Dr Anu joined the drug development division of Novartis, a Swiss pharmaceutical company, where she led global clinical trials at the Company Headquarters in Switzerland and set-up and managed teams in India.

As the healthcare delivery landscape evolved back in India, Dr Anu got involved in guiding healthcare startups which later transpired in her deeper engagement with the startup community as a Mentor, Advisor and Investor. Anu is an active investor member of ah! Ventures, Hyderabad Angels and Rajasthan Angel Innovator Network (RAIN) and has invested/committed in four tech-enabled early stage startups, out of which two are led by women entrepreneurs.

As a Charter member of TIE Hyderabad, Anu is committed to the development of the start-up ecosystem especially women entrepreneurship. She is on the Board of Mentors and Panel of Advisors for various incubators and accelerators including Z Nation Lab, Spark 10, Tapchief and Times group’s Brandshoot Ventures. Her deep desire to create large scale impact has led Dr Anu to support the social incubator programme at IIT Kanpur, and mentor startups working on low-cost healthcare delivery models.
